Primrose Park is my own label that I wholesale to other stores and of course I sell it in ANNA.  I thought I'd take this opportunity to share a few of my favourite styling ideas and how I'll be wearing the collection this Autumn.

I love shearling so this fab pale pink gilet will be in my wardrobe and it compliments my 'Falling Leaves' print button shirt. Team with skinny jeans and Isabel Marant Dicker boots... perfect!

I've styled the Primrose Park Mandy top with a camo jacket/shirt, a client of mine informed me that this is a 'shacket'!  Well whatever it looks great with this top!

Another Gushlow and Cole gilet teamed up with this very easy day dress... I don't usually wear hats but I can't resist this one by Rag and Bone.

Shorts

I'm not a great lover of shorts... obviously... but sometimes I do feel the need to stop worrying about 'the leg issue' and get them on. These are my old favourites, Current Elliot ripped white shorts, I'm far too old for them but what the hell... But if like me you want to forget the age thing then wear shorts with loose forgiving layering tops, hide the bottom and tops of the thighs with a longer kaftan or kimono.
One more tip; always accessorise... it draws the eye away from the bits that you are not so keen on!

A Day in The Life of...

This is a typical day in my ANNA life.

I start my day bizarrely enough at 6:40am wake up call for 7:10 Barrys Bootcamp! 

Breakfast usually on the run after juicing for RP. Today i am off to a few buying appointments.

 I walk to appointments whenever i can and i am lucky because regents park is my shortcut to the west end. 

OMG! I've just bumped into my BF in the park, quick catch up with her then off i go again.

I love Chinti and the new collection doesn't disappoint. Emoji jumpers, how cool!

 Next up, Odd Molly.

 This season sees the return of Odd Molly in ANNA.

The Tribute collection is very strong and i can see the original quirky style has returned.  

Whilst choosing my pieces for the stores i have a quick bite and some water, more often than not i drink too much coffee and eat too many biscuits in the appointments, its good to get some real food!

 Here i am with Sam making my selection. I am very conscious of choosing the correct shapes and washes for my client base rather than high trend driven, niche pieces. Everything in ANNA is personally picked by me. I like everything but obviously i am only ever one size and one age at one time so i can't wear everything all the time. 

I end the day with a quick meeting with the GM of ANNA who is on a shop visit at primrose hill. psssst... Yoga 6:45pm, nutter!!

Pastels

Spring is here so I've embraced the season with pastels even though it continues to rain!  I feel fresh and summery and I'm still managing to keep warm. I've teamed my Velvet pink sweat with these uber trendy Levi's 501 CT jeans, these are a season 'must have' if you can get them, they sell like hot cakes!! 

I bought this By Malene Birger coat last year for a wedding, worn with a cream dress it looked elegant and smart but I love the fact that I can now wear it dressed down with jeans, that's what I call economising!!  Mango does a similar one for a fraction of the price.

You can't go wrong with a Grenson brogue!

As you know by now I love to accessorise, this scarf works well with pastels or navy, also it's a lovely sarong on holiday! 

My lovely friend gave me the Balenciaga cuff, a real treat for my 50th!

Rip it up

I LOVE rips and shredding at the moment! Today I'm wearing 'rips on rips' with my lovely Raquel Allegra ripped cashmere jumper, 3x1 ripped jeans and my NEW Gucci loafers!

Raquel Allegra is a recent discovery for me. She pioneered the shredding technique after her laborious experiments creating full length webbed cocoons out of oversized vintage t-shirts. This technique is now synonymous with her brand. I love the contrast of the cashmere and rips in this jumper, her garments are always really unique. My jumper has sold out but you can buy some of Raquel Allegra's other things here.

Ripped jeans continue to be big for the coming seasons, invest in a pair now! Mine are by great US brand 3x1. For something readily available this side of the pond go for Levi 501 CT's. I have just snapped up a pair! They are the perfect slim boyfriend that can be worn up-sized for a looser fit, true-to-size for a regular fit, or down-sized for a slimmer more modern fit. They were re-released today... last time they sold out in 24 hours, so get in there quickly! Watch this space for a post on them soon...

For a pop of colour I'm wearing my recent investment, Gucci loafers, a style classic... which (I hope) will last me a lifetime... or until I get bored of them! 

How to Wear White Jeans...

I'm never quite sure whether I like white jeans but I seem to buy a new pair as soon as the weather perks up after our dreary winter!  So here I am in my new favourites, The Fling by Current Elliot.  I've got them in blue denim too, they are like the good old real Jean, no Lycra!  I love the distressing and I think it works really well in white as they are a summer item so showing a bit of flesh seems so much more acceptable, even my old knees don't bulge out of these shredded holes, (shedding is much better than slashing!).  Team them with relaxed sweats and super cool trainers, or wear them with a sexy cami and wedges, I think I can just about carry it off!

Buying in Paris

Ready for Paris

Recently I was in Paris at a few buying appointments. Paris is always hard work as we have to race around from one appointment to another but it never feels totally work like... walking around the Marias always entices me into a few gorgeous shops to have a nosey... I call it research, others might say shopping!! 

I had a full day on Thursday starting at Rag & Bone, a fabulous collection and an equally great company to deal with! I found everything tee shirts, jeans, knits and terrific oversized coats for AW15.

Next stop an Italian showroom showing masses of collections from Europe and the States, I buy Golden Goose and Sea NY from them but I also picked up two new collections, Nili Lotan from NY and Sibel Sarel, a Turkish born designer living in the states. Check these two out!

This is one of my favourite concept stores, Merci, always worth a visit. And of course, I never go to Paris without checking out the fabulous, Colette, an amazing store it feels more gallery than shop, loads to see!

New Years Eve...what I'm wearing.....

I've never really liked New Year's Eve, enforced jollity that lasts into the early hours... This year I'm off to a house party for the usual fun and frolics. The girls in Norfolk always love to dress up so I've opted for this dress ensemble... It's fab and I've worn it to almost every party this festive season as it always meets the occasion,  job done! Mine is by Rag and Bone, but you can get the same look for a fraction of the price with this leopard maxi from Mango. 

As new year celebrations continue through the night, my girlfriends and I always hit the dance floor with 'champagne confidence' so it's essential to find heels that don't leave your feet screaming for a foot bath... Lucy Choi are perfect, comfy AND sexy!
